چکیده
Steelmaking slags are reused for civil engineering and roadbed materials. When the slag containing Cr oxide is reused, there a slight case of toxic Cr6+ elution from mineral phase CrO3 into environment. Therefore, in order to effectively utilize as resources, development technology suppress urgently required. Regarding formation at high temperature Cr3+, many researches have been carried out functions synthesis conditions phases conditions. Furthermore, dissolution actual has reported. In this paper, studies on synthesized Cr-containing reviewed, research issues discussed.

Utilization of ironmaking and steelmaking slags
smelting of hammerable iron and its treatment in antiquity and Medieval produced also by-product: slag. Because of small yields of iron the process produced only small amounts of slag that did not attract attention of smelters concerning its possible use. the use of slag pieces was only accidental. a lot of slag pieces and blocks from slag pit shaft furnaces were used as a material for mound bu...
متن کاملMicrostructural Characterisation of Chromium Slags
J. Burja, F. Tehovnik, F. Vode, B. Arh, Institute of Metals and Technology, Ljubljana, Slovenia In this chromium slags that form during melting of chromium alloyed steels are examined. During melting and oxidation of these steel grades a considerable amount of chromium is lost, and gained back with slag reduction. Laboratory experiments were performed to study the mechanism of chromium oxide re...
متن کاملThe Role of Surface Coordination in Precipitation and Dissolution of Mineral Phases*
In precipitation and dissolution of minerals, the coordinative partners of the crystal-forming ions are changed. In heterogeneous nucleation, these ions interact coordinatively (surface complex formation and ligand exchange) with the surface sites of the heteronuclei or template. The dissolution of oxides too depends on the influence of surface complex-forming ligands and on the degree of surfa...
متن کاملSiderophore-promoted dissolution of chromium from hydroxide minerals.
Biomolecules have significant impacts on the fate and transport of contaminant metals in soils and natural waters. Siderophores, Fe(iii)-binding agents that are exuded by microbes and plants, may form strong complexes with and promote the dissolution of contaminant metal ions, such as Co(iii), U(iv), or Pu(iv). Although aqueous Cr(iii)-siderophore complexes have been recognized in the laborator...
